If you have already purchased a Lifetime FSC Code, you do not need to purchase another FSC code when a newer map version is released. You only need the latest map data to carry out the update.

What Map Version Will I Get?

You will receive the latest available map version for your BMW or MINI navigation system and region, including North America, Europe East & West, Australia & New Zealand, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Africa, and other supported regions worldwide.

  • If your current navigation system uses PREMIUM maps, you will receive the latest available PREMIUM map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses NBT NEXT maps, you will receive the latest available NEXT map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses EVO maps, you will receive the latest available EVO map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses MGU iDrive 7 LIVE maps, you will receive the latest available LIVE map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses Entrynav2 WAY maps, you will receive the latest available WAY map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses Entrynav ROUTE maps, you will receive the latest available ROUTE map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses MGU iDrive 8/8.5 JOY maps, you will receive the latest available JOY map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses MOTION maps, you will receive the latest available MOTION map version for your region.
  • If your current navigation system uses MOVE maps, you will receive the latest available MOVE map version for your region.

You do not need to provide your current map version. The last 7 digits of your BMW Identification Number (VIN) are enough for us to identify your navigation system and provide the correct map update.

Direct Download

Receive the latest compatible map files for your vehicle. For the DIY method, you will need a compatible 32GB or 64GB USB drive formatted to FAT32.

Pre-Loaded USB

Choose this option if you prefer the required map files already prepared on a USB drive. You do not need to download, extract, or transfer the map files yourself.

If you are not comfortable preparing the USB drive yourself, we recommend choosing the Pre-Loaded USB option.

Important: This product is intended for customers who already have a valid Lifetime FSC Code for their vehicle. Please do not purchase this product if you still require an FSC activation code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the USB interface port in my vehicle?

The USB interface port required for the map update can be found in the glove console compartment. If there is no USB interface port in the glove compartment, please use the USB port located in the central arm rest storage compartment.

What if the FSC code is not being accepted?

Check for the following possible errors:

  • Does the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the BMW Navigation Certificate (FSC) match the VIN of your vehicle? (This can be found in your registration document.)
  • Did you avoid entering zeros and ones when typing in the activation code? (Danger of confusion with “I” and “O”.)

How to update your digital road map in just a few simple steps

If map style is PREMIUM, USB format must be FAT32. If map styles are NEXT, WAY, ROUTE, or EVO, USB format must be exFAT.

  1. Download the map and extract the files. Copy all files in the folder NAVDxxx_xxx to the USB drive.
  2. Plug the USB drive into your car and start the update from the screen.
  3. Enter the FSC code and wait for the update to complete successfully.
